This refers to our letter dated January 24,1997, confirming our predecisional enforcement conference with you on February 4,1997. In our letter, we inadvertently omitted the synopsis of the report prepared by the NRC Office of Investigations into the circumstances j
surrounding the reactor recirculation pump seal event of September 5,1996. A copy of l
the synopsis is enclosed. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter l
and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
