TURKEY POINT PLANT, UNITS 3 AND 4 - PHYSICAL SECURITY PLAN,

REVISION 9 This is in response to your letter of January 8,1985, which transmitted Revision 9 to the Turkey Point Physical Security Plan. This revision, submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p), was forwarded to this office by Region II for our review because of a policy implication related to the determination of vital equipment and areas.

As you are aware, the policy and guidance related to the determination of vital equipment and areas are currently under review by the staff and any decision made at this time regarding your revisions might change as a result of this ongoing review. Therefore, for the time being, we support the position taken by Region II in their letter of January 31, 1985.

The enclosure to your letter contains Safeguards Information of a type specified in 10 CFR 73.21 and is being withheld from public disclosure.
