Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. R. A. Caldwell and
J. A. F. Kelly of this office during the period July 15-19, 1985, and by
Mr. R. A. Caldwell July 29 - August 1, 1985, of activities authorized by NRC
Construction Permit CPPR-145 for River Bend Station, and to the discussion of
our findings with you and other members of your staf f at the conclusion of the
inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included management effectiveness,
security organization, records and reports, lock and key control, access
control-personnel, physical barriers-vital areas, detection aids-vital areas,
communications, and follow-up on inspector identified items.
Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspector.
These findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
The material enclosed herewith contains Safeguards Information as defined by
10 CFR Part 73.21 and its disclosure to unauthorized individuals is prohibited
by Section 147 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
Therefore, the
material with the exception of the report cover page which is an inspection
summary, will not be placed in the Public Document Room.
