JOINT STIPULATION REGARDING SETTLEMENT Of ECNP PROPOSED CONTENTIONS For the purpose of resolving the remaining proposed con-tentions advanced by the Environmental Coalition on Nuclear Power ("ECNP") relative to the captioned proceeding, General Public Utilities Nuclear Corporation, Metropolitan Edison Com-pany, Jersey Central Power and Light Company, and Pennsylvania Electric Company (collectively, " Licensee"), ECNP, and the Staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission ("the Staff") hereby stipulate and agree:

1. Licensee, in consideration of the hereinafter stated agreement of ECNP, hereby agrees to leave in place and to oper-ate Licensee's currently existing 16-station Reuter-Stokes "Sentri" system of real-time, remote readout dose rate meters encircling the TMI site (as described more fully in materials provided to ECNP under Licensee's February 22, 1985 letter, and in materials provided to ECNP under the Staff's October 5, 1984 letter) until such time as shipment from TMI has been completed of all TMI-2 core material the recovery of'which is practicable (whether located in or external to the pressure vessel), as 8510240323 851022 PDR ADOCK 05000320 l C PM L.

evidenced by a final accounting of the TMI-2 core which ac-counting has been received and accepted by the Nuclear Regula-tory Commission. In addition, ECNP will continue to be sent all documents currently being sent (including formal correspon-dence to Licensee management, Weekly Status Reports, safety evaluations, exemptions, environmental review documents and changes to the Recovery Operations Plan) pertaining to TMI-2 for the duration of cleanup and recovery activities or until ECNP notifies Licensee and the NRC Staff to the contrary.

2. ECNP, in consideration of the above-stated agreement, hereby withdraws its " Supplement to Request For Hearing by the Environmental Coalition on Nuclear Power" (June 23, 1980),

including its proposed Contentions 1, 3, 4 and 6 advanced therein, and consents to dismissal from the proceeding.

3. The agreement of the parties which is reflected in this Stipulation is contingent upon the grant of the associated

" Joint Motion to Approve Stipulation" by the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board.
