The NRC received your letter dated December 23,1996,in response to Operator Licensing l
Examination Report No. 50-346/OL-96-02 in which we requested you to respond within 60 days regarding your investigation into the second failure of the four Senior Reactor i
Operator license applicants on the Operating Examination Administrative section. Your response was to include an assessment of plant operations to determine if any similar l
demonstrated weaknesses exist in plant operations.
i We understand that your investigation and assessment of plant operations are due to be competed by January 17,1997, and that you will need an extension of tirne to provide the l
response requested in Report No. 50-346/OL 96-02.
We will allow the extension and request that you submit the results of your investigation and assessment of plant operations including the corrective action plans by the end of February 1997.
