Docket No. 50-206 Special Report, Unit 1 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 Pursuant to Section 3.14.B.1.a and 3.14.B.2.b of Appendix A, Technical Specifications to Provisional Operating License DPR-13 for San Onofre Unit 1, this submittal provides the required Special Report for inoperable fire suppression equipment.
On June 12, 1985, a portion of the Unit 1 fire main was removed from service for modification of the Fire Water System to facilitate fire water service to the new Health Physics and Maintenance Buildings. This work required Post Indicating Valves B, D, and E be closed which isolated the water supply to Fire Hydrants 1, 2, and 3, and the Diesel Generator Building Fire Suppression System.
In accordance with Technical Specification 3.14, the required compensatory hoses and firewatches were established in all affected areas.
This portion of the firemain is expected to be returned to service by July 22, 1985.
