Inspection Report No. 50-354/85-44
A routine preoperational safety inspection of your radiation protection,
chemistry and radioactive waste programs was conducted by Mr. H. Bicehouse
of this office on September 10-13, 1985. Our findings were discussed with
Mr. S. LaBruna and others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection
on September 13, 1985.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel and observations by the inspectors.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations were noted.
However, several apparent weaknesses in the programs reviewed were noted and
are discussed within the enclosed report. No reply to this letter is required.
