Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. J. A. Grobe,
K. A. Connaughton, F. R. Dunaway and J. W. McCormick-Barger of this office on
August 5 through September 23, 1985, of activities at Perry Nuclear Power
Plant, Unit 1, authorized by NRC Construction Permit No. CPPR-148 and to the
discussion of our findings with Messrs. M. D. Lyster, C. M. Shuster and F. R.
Stead at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during tbn course of this
inspection.
In accordance with the NRC's Rules of Practice for Domestic Licensing
Proceedings, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 2, Section 2.790, a
copy of this letter and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public
Document Room.
