Cn July 8,1983, the Nuclear Regulatory Cermission (NRC) issued Generic Letter 83-28. This letter described intermediate term actions to be taken by licensees as a result of the Salcr enticipated transient without scram events. For Items 1.1.3 and 3.2.3 of the Generic Letter, the licensees-were to identify any post-maintenarce test requirements in existing technical specifications for either the reactor trip system or other i

safety-related components which can be demonstrated to degrade rather than enhance safety.
