Dear Mr. Kingsley:
We completed a successful data gathering trip to the Grand Gulf plant during September 11-13, 1985. This visit was productive due mainly to the cooperation of your staff. My contractors were very pleased at the ease and alacrity with which infonnation was made available to thera.
Our greatest thanks goes to Mr. Jim Cross, General Manager, and Mr. Sam Hobbs, Manager of Nuclear Safety and Compliance, for their support of our effort.
Special thanks go to Messrs. Gary Smith, Wayne Russell, Steve See, Ms. April Rice and other staff members who took time out of their busy schedule to answer questions.
. Lastly, I thank you for your full cooperation. The plant visit would have been impossible without your support. We are looking forward to working informally with your staff as questions regarding the analyses arise. Also, a brief visit rnay be required in January 1986 to confim certain plant design features and procedures that the analyses show are r.ost important to severe core damage potential.
