Inspection Nos. 50-272/85-16 and 50-311/85-18
A routine safety inspection was conducted by D. J. Vito of this office on July
8 - 11, 1985, at the Salem Generating Station, Hancock's Bridge, New Jersey of
activities authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-70 and DPR-75.
Discussions of
our findings were held by D. J. Vito with Mr. L. Miller and other members of
your stuff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
As
evidenced by the large number of deficiencies closed out in this report, and
the responsiveness of your staff, significant progress in improving your
Emergency Preparedness Program is noted.
