The plant entered the period at 100% core thermal power (CTP). On December 10,1996, at approximately 1900 hours0.022 days <br />0.528 hours <br />0.00314 weeks <br />7.2295e-4 months <br />, limited by the control rod pattem, the plant commenced a scheduled reduction in power to approximately 67% CTP to perform a control rod pattem change. On December 14,1996, at approximately 1950 hours0.0226 days <br />0.542 hours <br />0.00322 weeks <br />7.41975e-4 months <br />, the plant attained 100% CTP where it was essentially maintained until December 30,1996. On D:cember 30,1996 at approximately 0700 hours0.0081 days <br />0.194 hours <br />0.00116 weeks <br />2.6635e-4 months <br />, the plant commenced end of cycle coastdown. The plant anded the period at 98.9% CTP.

SAFETY RELIEF VALVE CHALLENGES MONTH OF DECEMBER 1996 Requirement
NUREG-0737 T.A.P. II.K.3.3 There were no safety relief valve challenges during the reporting period.

An SRV challenge is defined as anytime an SRV has received a signal to operate via reactor pressure signal  !

2. Scheduled date for next refueling shutdown
February 15,1997.

j 3. Scheduled date for restart following next refueling: March 29,1997.

4. Due to their similarity, requests 4, 5, & 6 are responded to collectively under #6.

l 6. The new fuel loaded during the 1995 refueling outage (RFO-10) is of a different design than that loaded in the previous refueling outage and consists of 136 new fuel assemblies.

j 7. (a) There are 580 fuel assemblies in the core.

i (b) There are 1973 fuel assemblies in the spent fuel pool. This includes 208 new fuel assemblies awaiting fuelloading for cycle 12.

8. (a) The station is presently licensed to store 3859 spent fuel assemblies. The spent fuel storage j capacity is 2891 fuel assemblies. However,23 spent fuel locations cannot be used due to i refuel bridge limitations.

l 9. With present spent fuel in storage, the spent fuel pool now has the capacity to accommodate an j additional 1103 fuel assemblies.
