TV Electric letter logged. TXX-95292 from C. L. Terry to the NRC dated November 28, 1995 Gentlemen:
On January l'0, 1996, the NRC issued Generic Letter 96-01, " Testing of Safety-Related Logic Circuits" (Reference 1).
TU Electric responded (Reference 2) with a plan to complete the Generic Letter requested actions by the spring of 1998 consistent with the latter of the refueling outages scheduled in 1998 for CPSES units 1 and 2.
The plan included reviews to the N'lC approved converted Technical Specifications.
The original plan called for a submittal to the NRC for approval a set of converted Standard Technical Specifications by December of 1996.
At this time the submittal of the converted Technical Specifications has been delayed by a few months.
As described in Reference 3. this continues to be a joint submittal with Wolf Creek, Calloway, and Diablo Canyon plants.
It is still TV Electric's intent to complete the Generic Letter reviews to the converted Technical Specifications and to complete these reviews by the end of the Unit I refueling outage in the spring of 1998 as originally committed.
There remains sufficient time to perform the reviews with the delayed submittal, assuming a corresponding delay in the NRC approval uf the converted Technical Specifications.
