This refers to tre routine inspection conducted by Mr. A. A. Varela of this
office on June 24 28, 1985, at Hope Creek Generating Station, Unit 1, Hancock's
Bridge, New Jersey, of activities authorized by NRC License No. CPPR 120 and to
the discussions of our findings held by A. A. Varela with A. Giardino, of your'
staff, at the conclusion of the inspection, and to a subsequent telephone
discussion between Mr. Varela and Messrs. F. Barnabet and L. Kamath on
July 2 and 5, 1985.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I In-
spection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within thisa areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
