' QEPLY To ATTN or DLS sus;ECT Quality Assurance Program for Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators (RTGs) to USAF Clinic /SGB 1.
Request the attached Quality Assurance Program for Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators be submitted to the USAF Radioisotope Committee and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, in turn, for approval in accordance with Subpart H of 10CFR71.
2.
The purpose of this request is to allow the Tech Ops Div to register as users of Certificates of Compliance numbers 4888 (RTG Models Sentinel -25A,
-25E, -25F) and 5862 (RTG Model Sentinel 100F). This plan must be approved by the NRC before we can register as users of the Ccrtificates of Compliance and ultimately transport'the RTGs to Burnt Mountain, Alaska as scheduled beginning on or about 20 Jul 85.

Request your prompt consideration and approval. The P.TGs addressed must be installed prior to the on-set of adverse winter weather this year in order to meet our mission requirements. Please send this program to the USAF Radioisotope Committee for their prompt approval and forwarding to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as quickly as possible.
