SUBJECT:
LaSalle County Station Leak Reduction Program Data; NUREG 0578 Item 2.1.6.9; LAP'100-14 In accordance with our commitment for a yearly leakage surveillance, leakage data has been obtained for LaSalle county Station Unit 1.
Attached is a tabular summary of the leakage visually. observed and estimated.
Most of the observed leakage was due to packing leaks. All observed leaks
. were identified to the operating Department through work requests for repair
,oas necessary.
i None of the leakage observed was significant from an operational or radiolpgical viewpoint. The leakage from the 1G32-C001B, RWCU recirculation pump was contained and controlled in its area. The. leakage was caused by a failure-of--the gland seal ring. A work request was written to disassemble the pump arid replace the gland saal. The leakage had no adverse impact on the safe operation of the plant. hor the health and safety of the public.
