NRC NAMES NEW SENIOR RESIDENT INSPECTOR AT ROBINSON NUCLEAR POWER PLANT Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in Atlanta have announced the assignment of Binoy Desai as the agency's Senior Resident Inspector at the Robinson nuclear power plant, located near Hartsville, South Carolina, i
Desai joined the NRC in 1986 as a reactor engineer.
From 1989 through 1993, he was a resident inspector at the Oconee plant in South Carolina and o
D from 1993 through 1996, he was a resident inspector at the Turkey Point plant in scuth Florida.
He received both a Bachelor's and a Master's j
j degree in nuclear engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology jf (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta.
l Desai officially became the Senior Resident Inspector at the Robinson plant in late December, joining NRC Resident Inspector John Zr.iler.
