Leak-Before-Break-Technology San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Units 2 and 3," April 17,1995.
This letter is to inforn you of changes to the schedule for implementing the design change associated with replacement of existing gas monitoring channels.
In Southern California Edison's (SCE's) letter referenced above, SCE stated its intent to implement this design change by the end of 1996. However, a change to the schedule for implementing the design change is needed. A change i
to the Technical Specifications is required prior to implementing the design change. A proposed Technical Specification change will be submitted by July 15, 1997 to permit upgrading the existing analog monitors to digital monitors.
Therefore, the design change will be implemented following NRC approval of this proposed change.
SCE currently anticipates that the design change will be implemented by July 1,1998.
