This will acknowledge receipt of your August 29, 1985 letter to Mr. John B. Martin that transmitted the scenario and the anticipated licensee actions for the Trojan annual emergency exercise to be held October 16, 1985.
On September 24, Mr. K. Prendergast of my staff contacted Mr. Jerry Thale and discussed with Mr. Thale and other members of your staff improvements to the i scenario. Mr. Thale also clarified a number of issues from our review. At the conclusion of this conference call, minor changes were agreed to. It is our understanding that these changes along with any other changes made between now and the date of the exercise will be provided to the NRC Team Members prior to the exercise.
In addition, we have contacted FEMA, Region X, and they have no comments at this time.
I It is our conclusion that the scenario package with the minor agreed to l changes.is adequate to permit you to meet the exercise objectives contained in l your July 26, 1985 submittal.
