Subject:

Implementation of Integrated Schedules for Plant Modifications (General Letter 85-07)

Dear Sir:

Enclosed is our response to Generic Letter 85-07 on integrated schedules, '

Reference (b), in the format requested. The date for submittal of this information was modified to August 12, 1985, Reference (c). Yankee believes that a form of integrated schedules is warranted and necessary as an internal tool for scheduling engineering and construction to meet NRC and other requirements. We have been using an informal integrated schedule for the past two refueling cycles and have been able to successfully integrate the NRC required workload into our overall engineering and construction workload. A large portion of our NRC workload has been SEP items, which have been spread out over a number of refueling cycles based on a schedule worked out with the staff.

This method of scheduling hau met our needs, and we believe has adequately addressed all NRC requirements. We do not foreseo any workload from the NRC or internally that we cannot accommodate with our present planning process. Therefore, we do not believe that a formal integrated schedule is necessary.

Very truly yours, George Pspanic, Jr.
