Subject: Combined Inspection Nos. 50-277/85-34 and 50-278/85-14
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. E. H. Gray of
this office on June 17-19 and August 12-16, 1985, at the Peach Bottom Atomic
Power Station, of activities authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-44 and DPR-56
and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Gray with Mr. R. Fleischmann
on June 19, 1985 and with Mr. D. Smith on August 15, and 16, 1985.
This also
refers to subsequent telephone discussions between Mr. J. Wiggins and Mr. W.
Ullrich on August 19 and August 20, 1985, and between Mr. J. Wiggins and Mr. R.
Fleischmann on August 23, 1985.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
