G. C. Sorensen, Manager Regulatory Programs Gentlemen:
This letter is to acknowledge receipt of your June 5,1985 transmittal in which you furnished us with your 1985 Annual Emergency Exercise objectives and limitations for WNP-2.
During the course of our review, Mr. R. A. Chitwood, Manager of Emergency Planning and Environmental Programs, was contacted to obtain clarification of six issues. A suitable explanation of four of the issues was provided by Mr. Chitwood during a telephone conversation on July 11, 1985. During a subsequent telephone conversation, also on July 11, 1985, Mr. Chitwood agreed to incorporate the two remaining issues as objectives f. and g. under Section A.I.
It is our understanding that these two additions will be provided in the final scenario package. Based on the resolution of these issues, we find your exercise objectives appropriate, and have no other comments or suggestions.
In addition, FEMA, Region X, has indicated that they have reviewed your submission, and have no questions at this time.
