This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Peter C. Wen of this
office on April 22 - 26, 1985, at Three Mile Island Unit 1, Middletown, Pennsyl-
vania of activities authorized by NRC License No. DPR-50 and to the discussions
of our findings held by Mr. Wen with Mr. T. Hawkins of your staff et the con-
clusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspec-
tion Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspec-
tion consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scopa of this inspection, no violations were observed.
No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter
