In a telephone conversation on September 17,1996, Johnie Smith, Nuclear Licensed i

Operator Training Supervisor and George Hopper, License Examiner, Region ll Operator Licensing and Human Performance Branch, made arrangements for the NRC to inspect the L

licensed operator requalification program at the Crystal River Nuclear Plant. The inspection is planned for the week of October 21,1996. The staff at your facility should prepare and conduct the requalification examinations in accordance with your NRC-approved requalification program, in accordance with 10 CFR 55.59(c), the NRC may request facility licensees to submit their

- comprehensive requalification written examinations or annual operating tests as necessary to support the NRC's inspection program needs. In order for the NRC to adequately prepare for this inspection, please fumish the written examinations and operating tests scheduled for the week of the inspection to the NRC by October 8,1996.

The request for requalification examination material is covered by Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Clearance Number 3150-0101, which expires April 30,1997. The estimated average burden is 4.0 hours0 days <br />0 hours <br />0 weeks <br />0 months <br /> per response, including gathering, copying, and mailing the required material.
