This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. C. Z. Gordon of
this office on February 4-8, 1985 at your Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Station
of emergency preparedness activities authorized by NRC License No. DPR-36 and
to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Gordon with Mr. Garrity of your
staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
. The areas examined during this inspection were limited to review of IE
Inspection Procedures, followup of open items identified during previous
inspections, and an inspection of emergency response facilities to determine the
degree of readiness for appraisal. Within these areas, the inspection con-
sisted of selective examination of the Emergency Plan, review of emergency
procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observa-
tions by the inspeotors.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
