McGuire Nuclear Station IE Inspection Report 50-369/84-28, 50-370/84-25 Extension of Time to Respond
Dear Sir:
By letter dated March 13, 1985, NRC transmitted subject inspection report
.which contained the results of a special safety inspection conducted on September 24-28, 1984. The Duke response to this report had been due by April 12, 1985.. However, in a telephone discussion on April 2, 1985, H. Dance agreed that a reasonable extension of the response date would be acceptable.
The principal reason for this delay is resource restraints. As you are aware, a fire protection inspection is currently planned during the week of April 15, 1985 at Catawba and personnel involved in preparation for it are also those responsible for preparing responses to the Notice of Violation.
In order to provide the thorough attention that this inspection report response requires, additional time is necessary.
Accordingly, the Duke response to this inspection report will be provided by April 30, 1985.
