SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-382/96-21
Dear Mr. Sellman:
An NRC inspection was conducted August 26 through Setember 12,1996, at your
Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3 reactor facility. T he enclosed report presents the
scope and results of that inspection.
During this inspection, the inspector determined that your sttf performed a thorough
review and assessment into the root cause for excessive leakage past the normal intake
dampers for the control room ventilation.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleased to discuss
