Dear Mr. Vassallo:
On May 2,1985, your staff requested additional information concerning our license amendment application dated October 24,1984, as. supplemented February 27, 1985 regarding Technical Specification (TS) Section 3.6.l.3.
The staff determined that reference to an inoperable airlock door _ interlock in Action Statement A of TS 3.6.1.3 is inappropriate and requested the Company to provide the specific action to be taken in

the event of an inoperable airlock door interlock.
We have reviewed the request and revised Section 3.6.1.3. A new Action Statement B, dealing with an inoperable primary containment airlock door interlock, has been added.
In the event of an inoperable airlock door interlock, the inner airlock door will b6 maintained locked closed and verified to be locked at least once per 31 days until the interlock is restored to operable status.
Enclosed are revised TS pages for Section 3.6.1.3.
