DOCKET NOS.: 50-338 ANC 50-339 This acknowledges the receipt of your letters of April 2 and 12,1985, which transmitted revisitsns dated February 15 to the Surry and North Anna Guard Training and Qualification Plans.

Our review of the changes has found most of them to be consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p). Accordingly, they are acceptable for inclusion into the plan. However, as indicated in the enclosure, certain other changes are in need of administrative clarification. On July 9, 1985, Ms. O. Masnyk of Region II discussed our concerns with Mr. W. Hellems, your Director of Security and on July 17, 1985 in a teleconference with Mr. J. Strickland. The need for further clarification or action on the issues identified in the enclosure was acknowledged. Please modify your plan to accommodate the areas requiring further clarification, and resubmit corrected plan changes as necessary to maintain plan continuity.

The enclosure to your letter is being withheld from public disclosure because it contains Safeguards Information and must be protected in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 73.21.

The material enclosed herewith contains Safeguards Information as defined by 10 CFR 73.21 and its disclosure to unauthorized individuals is prohibited by Section 147 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended. Therefore, the enclosure will not be placed in the Public Document Room.
