This letter is in response to the concerns you expressed during the April 11, 1985 limited appearance session of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board hearing in the Perry Nuclear Power Plant OL-Proceeding held in Perry, Ohio. Please be advised that a response to your con-cerns and questions is to be directly provided to you by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) since they relate to offsite emer-gency planning and preparedness which is the review responsibility of the FEMA. Enclosed for your information is a memo froa E. L. Jordan (NRC) to R. W. Krimm (FEMA) dated May 17, 1985 which refers your questions to FEMA for response.

RESPONSES TO OUESTIONS RAISED IN LIMITED APPEARANCE STATEMENTS ON APRIL 11, 1985 DURING THE HEARING FOR THE PERRY PLANT Daring the hearing for the Perry Plant, on April 11, 1985, a number of ques-tions were raised in Limited Apoearance statements related to emergency plan-ning that were not addressed during the litigation of admitted contentions.
The purpose of this memorandum is to request the assistance of FEMA in respond-ing to those questions related to offsite emergency planning and preparedness.
A copy)of the transcript of the Limited Appearance session is enclosed (Enclo-sure 1. The questions we believe to be in FEMA's area of review responsibili-ty are outlined.
Please feel free to modify this list as you deem appropriate and respond directly to the members of the public who expressed their concerns rescrding offsite e.mergency planning.
