Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-213/85-08 -

A routine safety inspection was conducted by Mr. A. A. Weadock of our office on

March 25-29, 1985, of the Haddam Neck Plant radiological environmental moni- m

toring program. Areas that were reviewed included sample collection, control 7

of contractor activities, meteorological monitoring, audits and reports. ,

The inspection indicated that one of your activities was in apparent violation

of NRC requirements. Details are provided in enclosure Appendix A. You are 5

required to respond to this finding by following the instructions included in i

Appendix A. -

Additionally, please document in your response the immediate and long term

corrective actions committed to during the exit interview to correct the re-

curring problem in signal transmission between the meteorological equipment _E

house and the control room, as discussed in Section 6.0 of the enclosed _
