A routine safety inspection was conducted by Mr. A. A. Weadock of our office on
March 25-29, 1985, of the Haddam Neck Plant radiological environmental moni-

toring program. Areas that were reviewed included sample collection, control

of contractor activities, meteorological monitoring, audits and reports.

The inspection indicated that one of your activities was in apparent violation
of NRC requirements. Details are provided in enclosure Appendix A.

Additionally, please document in your response the immediate and long term

corrective actions committed to during the exit interview to correct the re-

curring problem in signal transmission between the meteorological equipment
