EJordan Gray File +4 The Consnission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 89 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-40 for the Fort Calhoun Station, Unit No. 1.

This amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application dated March 8,1985.

The amendmenu adds new technical specifications which will require you to implement and maintain a program to ensure the capability to obtain and analyze a reactor coolant sample and containment atmosphere sample under accident conditions.

It should be noted that we are not amending page iii of.the Table of Contents at this time. Amendment Number 86 contained a new page iii and it is not yet effective. We will amend page iii after Amendment Number 86 becomes effective.

'A copy of the Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. ~The notice of issuance will

be included in the Commission's next regular monthly Federal Register notice.
