Gentlemen:
i On August 23,1996, Entergy Operations submitted a proposed technical specification (TS) change which would allow a one cycle extension of the inservice inspections for the flywheels of reactor coolant pumps (RCPs) P32A, P32B, and P32C. The requested change is hereby withdrawn and the flywheels will be inspected in accordance with the current TS. The results l
of these inspections will be transmitted to the Staff to provide further data in support of our proposed technical specification changes, submitted for Staff review on April 4,1995 (0CAN049504), to completely eliminate RCP flywheelinspections.
