ANNUAL LICENSE FEE By letter dated September 30, 1996, (Enclosure 1) Combustion Engineering, Inc., (CE) requested that the annual fees for FY1997 for SNM-1067 be assessed pursuant to 10 CFR 171.16-1, Category 14. We are transferring the request to you for your review. The result of your review should be transmitted directly to the licensee.

CE's request is based on the requested changes in an amendment application dated April 23,1996, (Enclosure 2) which is still pending for final resolution, the cessation of all licensed activities except those related to decontamination and decommissioning, and the transfer of accountability for Special Nuclear Material / Source Material from SNM-1067 to 06-00217-06. To facilitate your review, we have also enclosed a copy of current license SNM-1067 (Enclosure 3) and the effective pages of CE's license application for SNM-1067.
