Letter from G.

Trevors to NRC, dated May 25, 1990, " Cooper Nuclear Station Inservice Testing Program Plan, Revision 6-Submittal" Gentlemen:

The Nebraska Public Power District submitted Revision 6 of the Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS) Inservice Testing Program Plan in the above reference in response to NRC Ceneric Letter No. 89-04.

Changes have recently been made to some pages of Revision 6 of the CNS Inservice Testing Program Plan. The revised pages to Revision 6 of the Cooper Nuclear Station Inservice Testing Program Plan are attached to include the December 1992 addenda. This addenda incorporates relief requests recently granted by the Commission, equipment changes brought about by plant modifications, and additional changes as discussed in the attachment.

This addenda also contains a new relief request, RP-16, that is being submitted for NRC review and approval.

Relief is being requested from the instrument measurement range limitations of IWP-4120 in order to utilize a hand-held Tachometer to more accurately measure RCIC pump / turbine speed.

The basis for relief is given in the Relief Request. The District requests review and approval of Relief Request RP-16 by September 1, 1993.

If there are any questions, please call.
