Dear Mr. Martin:
Generic Radiation Protection Retraining The Omaha Public Power District received Reference (2) which requested that the radiation protection training for inspectors be abbreviated to an orientation and site-specifics, as appropriate. Accordingly, the District has reviewed your request.
We are developing a streamlined process for refresher train-ing. The streamlined refresher training for blue / red badges is expected to last about three hours. The preliminary version of the program will be ready for trial purposes on May 17, 1985.
If successful, the program will be continued. However, if problems develop with the trial program, a new approach will be pursued.
