Fort St. Vrain Fitness for Duty Policy
Dear Mr. Johnson:
Fort St. Vrain has recently committed to developing, implementing, and enforcing a Fitness for Duty policy and procedure.
This policy is effective February 1, 1985, and the subsequent implementing procedure is effective as of February 4, 1985.
In essence, the procedure requires all personnel granted access to protected areas at Fort St. Vrain be physically and mentally capable to perform assigned duties and tasks at the Station.
In addition, the procedure is specific in the restriction of the use of drugs and alcohol.
This letter serves as notice that personnel either working directly for or as contracted by your organization are subject to the requirements of the procedure. Personnel at the site will receive notification and training during General Employee Training classes.
A copy of the policy and procedure is attached for your reference.
