Dear Dr. Glenn:
This is in reference to Bethlehem Steel Corporation's Special Nuclear Material License, No. SNM-703 (expiration date, July 31, 1985).
We wish to request that this license be cancelled.
The anticipated research projects which prompted the renewal of this license in 1979 never materialized. No special nuclear material has been possessed under this license since 1976, when a 5 nanocurie plutonium check source was transferred to our Sparrows Point Plant, Maryland license MD-009-05-02.
