EPI is a not-for-profit corporation which is esempt from federal income tasation pursuant to Section 501(c) ( 3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
EFI has been formally recognized as a bona fide public interest group and granted waiver of fees for FOIA requests by the U.S.
Department Of Energy (Case No.
NFA-0116, 19 83).
Since 1974, EPIIhas worked with local citizens and citizen organizations from around tho' country advising them on energy development proposals and other actions that might effect the quality of their environments.
In addition, EPI assists citizens in the exercise of their rights to obtain information and to participate in the decision-making process on various actions as provided for under state and federal laws.
Any information obtained by EPI pursuant to this request will be provided and explained to interested citizens free of charge.
