COMANCHE PEAK STEAll ELECTRIC STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 CLARIFICATION TO TEXAS UTILITIES LETTER TXX-4426
Dear fir. Noonan:
TXX-4426 dated llarch 19, 1985 requested a partial exemption from General Design Criterion 4 of 10CFR50 for CPSES Unit 2 from the requirement for protection of structures, systems and components from the dynamic effects associated with eight postulated primary loop breaks.
In accordance with recent discussions between our staffs, this letter provides further clarification in that granting of the requested exemption will not affect the design bases for the reinforced concrete walls of the Reactor-Cavity or the primary loop component compartments.
We remain available to provide any information necessary to implement this request promptly.
