This is in response to Philadelphia Electric Company's letters dated November 14, 1984 and December 28, 1984, regarding revisions to the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3, Physical Security Plan.

We have reviewed the information contained in these plan revisions and have determined that portions of the revisions are consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p), and are considered acceptable.

However, certain other portions of these revisions are not considered accept-able for the reasons stated in the enclosure to this letter. 'For these por-tions, you are to modify your plan accordingly or revert to previously approved plan wording and submit corrected page revisions to this office within 30 days of the receipt of this letter.

If you wish to pursue changing your plan with respect to the portions that are not considered acceptable, you should submit the changes under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.90. .

Further, the changes to Chapter 9 of the Security Plan (Special Security Measures During Refueling or Major Maintenance Operations) are considered to have potential policy implications and have been referred to our Headquarters staff for review. The Headquarters staff will respond to you regarding these changes.

The enclosures to your above referenced letters and the enclosure to this letter are being withheld from public disclosure since they contain Safeguards Information and must be protected in accordance with provisions of 10 CFR 73.21.
