REVISION OF PACIFIC NUCLEAR SYSTEMS, INC. QUALITY ASSURANCE MANUAL Your letters of November 23 and December 18, 1992, transmitted Revision 3 of Edition 2 of_the Pacific Nuclear Systems, Inc. (PNSI) Quality Assurance (QA)
Manual. The revision reflects discontinued use of subsidiary names a1d'the use of group names instead; realigning the group QA Manager reporting line from the Director, Corporate QA, to the executive group management; changing
" customer" to " client"; and making additional minor changes to update and=
clarify the manual.
We have compared Revision 3, Edition 2 of the manual with Revision 2, Edition 2, which we reported as acceptable in our letter to you dated March 26, 1992. We find that Revision 3 continues to describe an acceptable QA program for the design and manufacture of systems for long-term interim storage of irradiated nuclear fual assemblies.
That is, when properly implemented, the QA program described in the manual will meet the requirements of Subpart G of 10 CFR Part 72.
