COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES)

UNIT 1 DOCKET NOS, 50 445 TRAtlSHITTAL OF REVISION 6 0F THE UNIT 1 IllSERVICE TESTING PROGRAM PLAN REF:

TV Electric Letter logged TXX 92302 from Mr. William J. Cahill, Jr. to the NRC, dated July 2, 1992 Gentlemen:

Enclosed is Revision 6 to the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station (CPSES)

Unit 1 Inservice Testing (IST) Program Plan (Copy 405 and 406).

The attachment provides a detailed description of the change made by Revision 6 to the IST in a format identical to that provided for changes to the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR).

All change described in the attachment have been evaluated for relative significance (i.e., the group number 1, 2, 3, or 4 following each change justification as discussed in TV Electric letter IXX 88467 dated June 1, 1988).

In addition, the change has been reviewed under the TV Electric 10CFR50.59 process and found not to include any 'unreviewed safety questions."

As discussed in the above reference, implementation of the Combined Unit IST Plan for Unit I will be phased in and completed before return to power following the third refueling outage for CPSES Unit 1 (1RF03).

The phase-in process assures that the appropriate portions uf the combined Plan have been implemented prior to superceding related portions of the existing Unit 1 Program Plan.

In the meantime, the Unit 1 Program Plan is being maintained current and revised as necessary until the phase-in process is
