Dear Mr. Denton:
to this letter is a proposed amendment to Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-39 and DPR-48, Appendix A, Sections 3.22, 4.22, and 6.5.
These sections address the operability, surveillance, and record-keeping requirements for snubbers at Zion Nuclear Power Station. These changes have been prepared based upon the Zion Technical Specifications following amendment Nos. 89 to DPR-39 and 79 to DPR-48.
Note that Section 6.5.B contains the requirement to retain snubber service life records. The referenced letter also transmitted proposed changes to Section 6.0.
These changes updated the format of this section and also included the requirement to maintain snubber service life records. Thus, the proposed change to Section 6.5.B transmitted with this letter should not be approved if the reformatted Section 6.0 has already been issued. contains a description of this change and a demonstration that the proposed amendment involves no significant hazards consideration. This change has received On-Site and Off-Site review and approval.
A $150.00 fee remittance is enclosed in accordance with 10 CFR 170.
As provided by 10 CFR 50.91, the State of Illinois is being notified of this amendment request by transmittal of a copy of this letter and the attachments.
