Core Performance Requested Completion Date January 15, 1974 Description of Raquest Evaluate the mechanical integrity of 8 x 8 Reload Fuel Assembly with off centar Water Spacer Capture Rods, the operating margins to fuel failure design limits during plant operation, and the margins to safety limits following assueed design basis accidents considering the design changes, including the unpowered Water Spacer Capture Bod, in each assembly. The completion date is based on the utility's schedule for the second reload of the Monticello core in February 1974.
Enclosed is one advance copy of the Monticello Nucisar Power Station Second Reload License Submittal dated August 1973; more copies will be provided when they are available. ESP plans to submit a reevaluation of " single failure caused events" "on a timely basis".
