Requested Completion Date: January 15, 1974 Description of Request: Enclosed is a report entitled "Nonticello Nuclear Generating Plant Second Reload Submittal" dated November 1973 for completion of your review in accordance with our September 25, 1973 request. You were originally provided with a preliminary or advance copy of the report dated August 1973.

The enclosed submittal differs primarily from the advanced copy previously forwarded to you in that "Easults of Safety Analysis" are included in a new Section 6.2.

Other less significant additions are:

A reanalysis of " single failure caused events" has been completed utilizing i

the 8 x 8 reload fuel, according to revised Section 6.1.3, and modifications j

to the reactor pressure relief system to acconnodate prompt relief trip (PRT) are planned. Details are expected by January 1974.
