Dear Dr. Morris:
As a result of the recent revision of Appendix D to 1. CFR Part 50 there is an opportunity for increased public participation concerning both the Monticello and Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Diants.
Public participation can be most meaningful when adequate information is available.
During the Monticello Licensing hearings there had been a local public document repository established at:
Environmental Resource Center l
Minneapolis Public Library i
1222 S.E.
4th Street Minneapolis, Minnesota 55414 l
Since the close of the licensing hearings there have been extensive additions to the Monticello file at the A.E.C.
Public Document Room in Washington D.C.
However, none of the new documents are available i
at the local repository.
For that reason, I am requesting that all documente on both Monticello and Prairie Island be made available at our local repository.
Because of the expedited nature of the A.E.C.'s revision of Appendix D to 10 CFR Part 50, I also request that the com-plete files be made available in the n ar future.
