USE OF ASME CODE CASE N-71-13 FOR THE CLINTON POWER STATION UNIT 1 The staff he spleted its review of your request for authorization to use ASE Code 13 for application at the Clinton Power Station Unit 1 as discusses your letter Serial No. U-600061, dated May 22, 1985. Code Case N-71-13. " Additional Materials for Subsection NF, Classes 1, 2, 3, and MC Component Supports Fabricated by Welding, Section III, Division 1", is an acceptable Code Case which is approved as written with no additio'tal require-ments other than those specified in the Code Case. The Code Case will be endorsed by the NRC in a future revision of Regulatory Guide 1.85, " Material Code Case A Acceptability ASME Section III, Division 1". [ Code Case N-71-13 may therefore be used at Clinton Power Station Unit 1 within the limitations stated in the " Inquiry" and " Reply" section of the Code Case. Use of the Code Case should be documented in a future Amendment to the FSAR. If you have any questions regarding the resolution of this issue, please contact your project manager.
