Dear Mr. Schneider:
Volumes I, II, III and IV of the Final Safety Analysis Report for '
the Kanticello Ruclear Generating Plant are enclosed. The report was filed by Northern States Power Company with its application for a provisional operating license.
Amendment No. 10, dated November 8, 1968, to the Monticello Final Safety Analysis Raport le also enclosed. The amendment consists of Appendices B and D, and thermal and hydraulic data previously ex-cluded from the Final Safety /malycis heport.
At the Cocaission's request, the U. S. Geological Survey reviewed the Preliminary Cafety imlycis Tseport for the Manticello Nuclear Generating Plant, and on January 27, b rch 27, and April 4, 1967, subcitted comments to the Commission.
Since that time the appli-cant han conducted a program to provide onsite hydrolo61 cal data.
Please review the enclosed documents and provide further coc:ments on the hydrology of the site na related to the proposed operation of thi Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant which might have a bearing on our safety review. Your prompt review will be appreciated.
