Dear Dr. Grace:
Both of these Significant Deficiencies involve the Diesel Generato1 Engines on Unit 2 and will require disassembly to replace piston skirts too subcovers.
This process will take approximately two months for each engine and must be done at separate times due to testing requirements. The commitment date of August 1,1985, for completion of this work cannot be met, since the work for Engine 2B cannot begin until July 1, 1985. The completion date, therefore, for corrective action on both of these items should be extended to January 1, 1986. All work will be completed at that time.
